Though I did not win The Nancy Pearl Award for Best Book in the Literary/Mainstream category, I couldn't to be happier for Rebecca Holbrook, a musician and author of the mystical and wonder-filled Omie’s Well.

Rebecca and I, as well as the third finalist, Irma Fritz (When There Was No Moon), had several meals over the weekend, and a lot of time spent side-by-side at the signing table for the Nancy Pearl Award finalists. Both women are lovely and very smart. I could not be more proud of all three of us for our achievement, and again, genuinely thrilled for Rebecca.
We three finalists will be taking the show on the road, so to speak, with readings in the greater Seattle area at libraries and bookstores. We will keep you updated.
Dawn! I'm thrilled! Many, many thanks.
Congratulations! I just got your book in the mail! Excited to read it!
