The famed author of Bad Feminist, Difficult Women, and perhaps most notable (for this overeater, anyway) Hunger runs Roxanne Gay Books (an imprint of Grove Atlantic) . As you can imagine, agents submit with the determination of lifeguard scanning riptide. If your book offers what the press deems “beautifully written, provocative, intelligent, [risky]” writing, get on over there and sub it.
