Because my soon-to-publish first novel follows and incest survivor, many think that I write about incest. I do not. I write about childhood. Everything I did or did not experience as a child manifests in everything that is or is not going on in my life today. It therefore manifests in the lives of my children.
Over this next bit of time, I hope that you you will get to know me and my writing—fearless, observant, and occasionally quite funny. Various genres express surviving an “epically screwy” childhood and working as a writer and soon-to-be author: fiction, nonfiction, essays, comic haiku, reviews, brief comments on culture and media, and publishing advice.
My hope is to offer answers to writers, parents, and former children.
