Several months ago, I contacted Mommies Review with my standard promo packet, which includes a free book.

MR was interested. I thanked her, and went on with promoting for days and weeks.

I am guessing from the information MR posted about the novel that she received or saw somewhere the media release my new PR consultant and I sent out last week. I am making up that MR intended to review As Far as You Can Go Before You Have to Come Back, and was reminded or booted in the ol' tushie by seeing the release.
I had very little to do with this kismet, beyond simply continuing to promote – long after my "year as new" ended.
